Two local groups hosted their annual fundraisers for Bethesda Project, bringing in a record-setting $66,000 for the organization.
On January 16, Malvern Preparatory School held its fourth annual Empty Bowls event. Students created beautiful ceramic bowls for the event, which includes a simple meal of donated soup and bread. Guest choose a bowl to use at the event and to keep as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world.
A silent auction that included additional bowls and pieces donated by students and area artists helped raise over $11,000 for Bethesda Project. Fittingly, Malvern Prep held the event on Martin Luther King Day, a national day of service.
In February, St. Norbert Parish in Paoli celebrated Mardi Gras with style and compassion, hosting an auction and party with traditional New Orleans cooking and raising over $54,000 for Bethesda Project.
Bethesda Project is grateful for the hours of loving dedication required to host these events. Many thanks to the Malvern Prep and St. Norbert volunteers who made them possible.
