Volunteer With Us
Bethesda Project was born through the love and care of volunteers. Volunteers prepare and serve meals, help clean and maintain our shelters and housing sites, and develop meaningful, supportive one-on-one relationships with our guests and residents. When you volunteer at one of our sites, your efforts directly impact the lives of the individuals we serve!

A warm, nutritious meal is more than just food—it’s a gesture of care and compassion. Volunteers can join us in preparing and serving meals to our guests and residents, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued.
A clean, welcoming environment can uplift spirits and create a sense of pride. Volunteers can use their creativity and skills to enhance living spaces by painting, decorating, or organizing rooms and common areas. Additionally, sorting and organizing our donations is an important task. Volunteers play a crucial role in sorting and organizing these items, ensuring they reach the people who need them the most and in good condition.
Your expertise can make a significant impact on our operations and programs. Whether you’re a healthcare provider, educator, administrator, haircutter, artist, or skilled in another field, your contributions are invaluable.
Bethesda Project's Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB) is a diverse group of young professionals in the greater Philadelphia area that works to increase awareness of homelessness throughout the community, raise funds for Bethesda Project through a variety of efforts, and volunteer in different capacities across the organization.
Outings, activities, and trips offer residents a chance to explore new places, enjoy fresh experiences, and take a break from their routines. Volunteers can sponsor and accompany residents on these memorable journeys.
