Host a Third Party Fundraiser
Third party fundraising events are larger fundraising events organized by partnering groups on behalf of — and to support — non-profit organizations like Bethesda Project. Events take many forms, and third party fundraisers organize the structure and planning with limited support from the benefitting organization.
Why should I have a Third-Party Fundraiser for Bethesda project?
Bethesda Project relies on the support of our community to provide programs and services including emergency shelter, permanent housing, and case management to those experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia.
Individually, as a group/organization, or as a business, you can help us make a difference in the lives of many!
To discuss ideas, or if you have any additional questions, contact Sarah Carter, Senior Development and Communications Manager, at 856-287-0639 or scarter@bethesdaproject.org.

Percentage/Portion of sales
Restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, gyms, and retail businesses (among others) can support Bethesda Project by donating a percentage of sales for a set period of time.
Examples:
20% of food sales at XYZ Restaurant for the month of November supports Bethesda Project!
10% of merchandise sales at ABC event will support Bethesda Project.
$2 from each sale of *specially designed cocktail/meal item/merchandise* will be donated to Bethesda Project
20% of ticket sales for 123 performance for the first week of February will benefit Bethesda Project.
XYZ Yoga Studio is hosting an online yoga class! Tickets cost $10; 100% of sales benefit Bethesda Project.
Celebrate a milestone
Have a birthday or anniversary coming up? Encourage people to make donations in your honor or host a Facebook Fundraiser to celebrate as well as support Bethesda Project!
Getting married? Ask guests to make a donation instead of gift.
Party with a purpose
Organize a party with a purpose with friends, neighbors, or coworkers such as a happy hour, virtual paint night, or online game night to support Bethesda Project! You decide what kind of event you’d like to hold and a Bethesda Project staff member can help you brainstorm ways to include fundraising or donation drives into your event.
Examples:
Wine, cheese, and $20, please! — Have guests bring a bottle of their favorite wine to share and a $20 donation (or more!) for a night of wine, cheese, and friendship all benefitting ending homelessness.
Host an ugly sweater holiday party where guests bring a coat (or a backpack) for Bethesda Project’s guests and residents!
Host a virtual cooking class where guests drop off the meals they make to one of Bethesda Project’s shelters or residences for guests or residents to enjoy!
Make a [Sports League] Bracket for special events like March Madness or Fantasy Football where the winning pot is split as a prize to the winner and a donation to Bethesda Project!
