Community at Bethesda Project becomes increasingly more important at the holidays. Volunteers, supporters, staff, and fellow guests and residents provide that “holiday feeling” for individuals at each of our 15 sites. Many of our guests and residents either might not have relationships with their biological families or the means to travel to see them.

• Providing food (homecooked or sponsored from restaurant) throughout the holiday season, including (but not limited to) Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Please schedule your meal delivery with Community Life.

• Making holiday treats (cookies, hot coco, gingerbread, candy canes, etc.) or holiday decorations

• Hosting a festive event with guests and residents (such as caroling, hot cocoa + cookies event, etc.)

• Hosting a holiday/festive event that raises money for Bethesda Project

• Hosting a drive for or purchasing items for guest and residents’ holiday gifts such as:

  • $25 gift cards (VISA, Target, CVS, or Wawa preferred)

  • Backpacks

  • Earbuds/headphones with aux cords

  • Thermals/long-johns (any size)

  • Winter hats

  • Men’s puffer winter coats (any size)

  • Men’s jeans, joggers, and sweatpants (any size)

  • Unisex Sweatshirts and hoodies (any size)

  • Men’s and women’s casual shoes, sneakers and boots (adult sizes)
