BETHESDA PROJECT RAISES $232,000 AT 22ND ANNUAL PARTY & AUCTION
Breaks Old Record for Event Sponsorships!
Philadelphia, PA (June 2019) – On Wednesday, May 8, 2019, a crowd of 280 gathered at The Diamond Club at Citizens Bank Park in support of Bethesda Project’s 22nd Party & Auction. Proceeds from the annual event generated crucial funds for the non-profit organization, which has been offering life-changing services and housing for individuals experiencing homelessness since 1979.
Event supporters and attendees raised a combined total of $232,000, exceeding last year’s goal by $57,000. With the help of Presenting Sponsor AmeriHealth Caritas who pledged $50,000 and partners including Phillies Charities, Inc., Hersha Hotels and Resorts, Power Home Remodeling and Allen & Gerritsen, a new record of $172,600 was set in event sponsorships alone.
During the Party & Auction, awards were presented to this year’s Champion of Change, International Raw Materials, and to Honorary Chair, Tim Reeves of Allen & Gerritsen. “In his remarks, our Honorary Chair reminded us of the importance and power of unconditional love in our lives. At Bethesda Project, we see the transformational healing resulting from that love every day, and we are grateful to our supporters for sharing in our mission to be family with those who have none,” said Tina Pagotto, Bethesda Project CEO.
Additional special guest appearances were made by Jessica Kartalija from CBS3 News, the Philly Phanatic, and former players Vince Papale from the Eagles and Mickey Morandini from the Phillies. VIP guests were treated to a cocktail reception in the exclusive Phillies Clubhouse Locker Room and guided tours of the dugout and field. The main event included live music by the Alexandra Day Trio, delicious food and drink and an exciting array of silent auction items to bid on.
